What your points are worth
A point is worth what you can reliably get for it — not the best case you saw once. These figures are conservative central estimates, built from redemptions a normal member can actually book. The method matters more than the number, so we publish it in full below.

How we value points
Each figure is a conservative central estimate of pence-per-point, calculated from a basket of realistic redemptions a normal member can actually book. For each currency we take (cash price of the same booking minus cash/taxes paid on the points booking) divided by points required, sample across cabins or room tiers, and publish a sensible central number rather than the best-case outlier. Surcharges and fees are subtracted honestly, because a redemption you cannot afford the taxes on is not worth its headline rate.
The honest headline most guides won't lead with: nearly every points currency is worth around a penny once you strip out cherry-picked outliers. The entire skill — and everything we write about here — is in reliably beating that baseline.
